In the latest update (BDA, 2022) we decided to present the composition of data not only per 100g of food\/non-alcoholic beverage or 100 mL of alcoholic beverage, but also per serving.<\/p>\n
The portions have been defined considering the Italian food tradition, the consumer’s expectations and the data present in the literature.<\/p>\n
As data sources, we used\u00a0the Standard Portions defined by the Italian Society of Human Nutrition<\/a> (SINU) in the Dietary Reference Values of Nutrients and Energy for the Italian population (LARN, IV revision 2014<\/a>), portion reported in photographic food atlases (Bedogni G., 2006; Turconi G., & Roggi C., 2007) or in Italian and foreign food composition tables and databases, while others have been defined by BDA working group.
